Hey guys I got bmw e30 325 1986 model that has been imported from New Zealand...

Hey guys , I got bmw e30 325 1986 model that has been imported from New Zealand in 1987 . It has been registered all its life in Queensland and since I bought it 4 years ago I have registered in Nsw . Now I am selling the car and had someone who wants to buy and organising finance through the bank so I had the red book inspector today who checked the car out and said it should have two compliance plate , one from manufacturer and other one from Australia . My car only have one fitted on the back of radiator support and its original one from bmw but we couldn't find another one . As far as I know Australian government started to fit their compliance plates on the cars after 1989 so It make sense why my doesn't have one but his concern is that original bmw plate doesn't tell you what year model is the car ! So my question is if the car is 1986 ( obviously means it's pre 1989 model) does it have to have two plates ??? My car been registered in au since 1987 and still registered with rms . Any help would be great ! Thank you
