    Hey guys

    Is there anyone local to Exeter who can sort EWS issues on a 96 E38? I've only got the one key for the car and somehow the EWS seems to have stopped recognising the key. First the engine would turn over a few times after turning the key but not stay running. Plugged my diagnostics on and It was throwing no codes. Left it overnight as I had to be somewhere. Then after attempting to get the thing to stay running a few times the battery must have drained a bit and instead of the engine turning over I get the clicking sound. Tried jump start, still no joy. Read the codes again and this time I get the code ''94 interface electronic engine immobiliser".

    Have done a bit of research on the forums and other people have had similar issue of EWS kicking in after battery drain but they have been able to get the car started using other keys, however as I mentioned, I only have the one key for this car. I'm a bit short of cash at the mo and don't want to fork out over a hundred quid for a new key. But if anyone could help either recode the key, or just remove the EWS from the ECU that would be great. Would rather take it to someone and not have to post it up country etc etc. Obviously the car is immobile too so need to get that sorted ASAP! Cheers :D

      I have had my E46 325ci for 2 and a half years now and every time i first start my car from cold the power steering makes a noise like there's air in the pump when you turn the steering for about quarter of a mile then it stops until the car gets cold again then the same thing happens I have fitted a recon rack, new pump and replaced the high pressure pipe, filter in reservoir and checked all the over pipes and one way valve for blockage and all seems OK but noise still there has anyone experienced this with there's because I would like to get to the bottom of the problem

        Hi everyone. Anybody have any experience with a cone filter cold air induction kit on their BM? I have bought a 330ci and want to give it some more low end torque along with some other power modifications. Heard mixed reviews on cold air intakes. If anyone has any experience and pictures of their setup it would be appreciated. Thanks :-)

            Had an interesting conversation with a guy that owns a 320d compact 150bhp who continued to say that he blows away 120d 170bhp is this possible his car is stock?

            He the carries on to say his car is the cleanest example in plymouth im no laughing as his car has been keyed down the quater panel and door and the oppisite side hes caught a wall down both arches lol

              Thought I'd chuck this out here as I'm free Mon, Tue, Wed and Thurs evening this week to code anyone with a BMW/MINI around the Plymouth area.

              Coding is all done from the Carly adapter, support can be found here if you want some more information on the adapter and software: http://www.mycarly.com/product/bmw-app/

              An example of things I can modify:

              • Audible lock and unlock confirmation

              • Electric folding mirrors on lock/unlock

              • US style sidemarkers (indicators as daytime running lights)

              • Open/close windows from key

              • Dashboard boot logo

              • Welcome lights

              • Digital speedo

              • Panic alarm

              The list can go on for ages but as always, it depends on what model your car is and whether you have the correct specification to suit the coding (e.g. having the electric folding mirror motor).

                Ok guys need a bit of advice on MATS my driver mat keeps slipping forward folds up under my accelerator pedal I don't want to take it out because the carpet underneath is thin and will rip any suggestions on fixing the mat in place but being able

                To remove it when I like for cleaning tried that sticky Velcro stuff but velcro stayed on the mat and just unstuck from carpet

                Tried google found nothing I know on the old BMW

                They had clips that locked in but mine hasn't got them

                Bit stuck any ideas would be great full

                  Throwback Thursday - my 328i Sport that I got rid of after only a few months because of the horrendous (£1k plus) MOT bill it threw up on its first MOT with me. The new owners got it MOT'd elsewhere, it still failed but apparently it took about £60 worth of bits and bobs to get it through. It's a shame I didn't keep it longer but other road users used to be really cunty towards me when I was driving it, I think it's black BMW syndrome. Plus I didn't like driving it at night cos it was hard to tell in the the rear view mirror where the car ended and the darkness began... Oh, and because of the wheels and wing mirrors people would always ask me 'is that a real M3' and I'd end up feeling like a fake.

                      Here we have for sale my pride & joy and will be gutted

                      to see her go but I want to tow more than 1.8tn.

                      I have owned her since December and haven’t had any problems what so ever, the car has had 3 owners from new 1st D&C Police as a motorway pursuit car, the car had covered 175k nothing for one of this engine, 120k of them done by the police up and down the motorway,

                      the car has been remapped to get better MPG

                      and more power 330 BHP, this car is very fast for a family estate car however its brilliant on fuel, 33mpg around town and 45-50 on the motorway.

                      in the time I have owned the car I have fitted a parrot hands free kit, detachable tow bar, brand new alloy wheels and Continental run flat tyres all round. Brand new mot, MOT till 19/08/2017 with no advisory the car had a full service when I picked up in December including new brakes all round, I have all the service history from the police, and the last owner,

                          Hi, I have a couple of questions...one is a bit more specific than the other :)

                          1. My E30 wouldn't start today (which led to the picture I posted earlier), the car turns over and the fuel pump is working but there appears to be no spark (distributor etc. look like new, maybe the coil ?) Any ideas or how to check for issues ?.

                          While looking for this issue decided to look at some electrical gremlins (there are a few :( a previous owner did some DIY wiring, and not particularly well) ..The question is about the fuel pump relay...

                          There is a brown/green wire from the relay going to the ecu (I think) would anyone know if this connection should always be live or is it an earth or something else ?
