e36 328i touring

Howdy guys. I have up for sale my e36 touring. I dont really want to sell it but ive pruchased a 4x4 and vant afford to keep both. So here it is.

So its a 1995 328i manual. Imported from the UK in 1998 so theres no rust issues. Its done 140xxx miles, im the second owner since new and its got full service history. Its mechanically A1 and has no leaks anywhere or rattles or any of that bullshit. Basically the only issue is the headliner needs replacing which im happy to do if buyer doesn't want to and it has maybe 3 door dings and a slight kink on the front drivers fender. After $9,000.

Hi everyone. I am taking my 1968 BMW 2000 C to the Unley Coffee and Cars event at the Unley shopping mall this Sunday, and then going to a vintage and classic car show at Edwards Park off the Anzac Highway (the event says there should be over 200 vintage and classic cars). If anyone is interested in coming along, please reply to this email, or simply come along and I'll see you there. The Coffee and Cars starts at 7:30, and the Vintage and Classic show starts at 10:30. Also, if anyone is interested in getting together for breakfast at the coffee and cars event, let me know. Obviously, it would be good to get any set of bimmers together, but I think it would be awesome if a few classics showed up to come to both events. Hope to see some of you there.

Needs a few minor things done. Runs and drives very good!

                Getting quite hard to find!

Priced to go! Was my daily until I got a corolla.

Brand new 100% tread rear tires.

                Just ran out of registration.

Have all rego papers in my name.

Bypassed using the ignition switch as it was too worn so have a button for accessories and one for push-start.

Key still required as usual to unlock mechanical steering lock so don't worry car can't just be taken.

(Installed very neatly and professionally) 'not by me :P'

Car is getting quite rare now so is priced to sell!

Heater core bypassed so no AC.

                Body of car is nice.

Interior is ripped a bit and needs some minor tlc.

Last owner spent a few thousand on the motor maintenence wise (do have bunch of receipts for some of the stuff)

                M30B34 (Inline 6) 3.5L (quick car)

                Ran on 95/98 only.

Hi All! Recently bought an E39 530 Sport. Great car but needed a good clean. Cleaned all the leather interior with good old spray and wipe and then used this ArmorAll Leather Care. Leather came up really nice and really impressed. So..... I'm wondering if anyone has any good reviews on wheel cleaner? The alloys love attracting the brake dust and I was wondering if anyone has found a good spray you can just apply and then pressure clean off without any scrubbing? Cheers and looking forward to reading the replies

                      G'day all,

At the 2017 Nationals in Brisbane we will be holding the usual Sunday Track Sprint Day at the iconic "lakeside Raceway" 25 minutes North of Brisbane CBD.

Lakeside is one of Australia's if not worlds most recognisable tracks. It is arguably Australia's fastest track. At full noise you really only brake twice. If you're a track jockey or just a casual track attendee, Lakeside wont disappoint.

You will be placed into groups depending on the vehicle and its equipped attire that you have. Dont worry, you wont be placed into a group above your cars or your ability. We'll have a number of current and past racers on hand to give you advice on the best way to get around.

We are going to secure a safe place to store your trailers etc over the long weekend as there will be nowhere at BMW CA Nationals HQ to keep them.

For some inspiration and for those who have never seen this track, check out Dave Towe (JPS E30 M3) and Richard Gresham (S14 2.5 litre powered 2002) having a bit of fun.... I promise you that Lakeside will leave you with a huge smile on your face. Just ask Dave and Richard.....or anyone else who has driven it.

The day is bbeing organised by our own Denis Wiesz who has organised many hundreds of track days for BMWCQ anda numbver of other clubs based in Queensland. The day will be a well oiled machine I promise.

Hi guys, so got all 4 Monroe shocks/struts installed now. I do have a huge regret of not doing my homework about knowing what will go well with original springs, the Monroe's don't feel compatible with original spring rate. I don't know why they would even make a shock/strut for this model. I didn't realise the B4 bilstein are the interchange of the original shocks, which I will now get. So for parts and labour It costs me a whopping $1200 roughly. If I do sell them I am not sure who would want to buy them. For a track car it might be good, but not street.

                            G'day all,

The BMWCA Nationals 2017 will kick off on April 14 with the "Meet and Greet" dinner. This is my favourite event of all the Nationals I have been too.

You get to catch up with old friends and meet new ones all the time in a relaxed casual atmosphere. Well at next years Nationals, nothing will beat the atmosphere we have planned at the meet and greet on Friday the 14th of April.

Our dinner venue at Captains Cove Bistro is in the heart of Dockside, BMWCA Nationals HQ. Captains Cove is quintessentially Queensland, its open, its casual, its scenic and its by the river. Afterwards, an evening scenic stroll across the Story Bridge is just metres away. The lights of beautiful Brisbane are all around you at Dockside. Pre-Dinner drinks are available from 5:30 pm and after a short welcome from myself, dinner commences at 7:00 pm.

Dont miss this one as it will be the start of the 4 days of festivities. Dont forget to book on the nationals website for all the Nationals activities.

Just a quick update for people, the e39 is currently not doing to well, had to get it towed last thursday to my mechanic as it would start (not dead battery). Tlmy mechanic put a code checker onto it to see if any codes were coming up. And boy did they ever. There were alot of major error codes, including low pressure on all cylinders 30psi, valve timing was out, low oil preassure, and thats just the start. Mechanic os saying it had a bad service history and has cause these things to happen, posibility of timing chain slipping and completley bending and destroying alot of components inside the engine.

So i will now be getting it towed to my dads workshop where they will be hunting for an engine, and will be doing a complete engine swap.

Any suggestions of where to look, or does anyone know anyone that has a e39 528i engine for a 1998 model.

                                      Cheers guys

I have been chasing my tail with all these different noises the E28 is making such as clunks, groans, popping, rough riding etc. I have bitten the bullet and it is booked into Pedders tomorrow morning to get a full check over and list everything that is faulty. Replacing bits and pieces just ain't cutting it.

Also, My car has a couple tiny bubbles Id like to get cleaned up, being a clean original ride Id like to find a body shop that "understands".... Not to say the local shop that repairs new hyundais when they fall off the truck doesn't do a good job, but you get my point.... Cheers and thanks in Advance....

Just closed in a deal for a 1998 e39 528i picking it up in 2 weeks (3rd of august) $3000 from $3500, pretty happy with it, engine runs beautifully, transmission is great, no leaks. A few little cosmetic things that will be fixed in the first few weeks of ownership, cant wait to take it on a club cruise. Thanks to Mohum Awadalla for little tips and hints along the way.

For those who are unaware, the reason for this purchase is because i had an accident and wrote of my e46 318i, so i was in a postion of purchasing another car, so i decided to stick with a bmw.

(Ignore the high suspension, we had it over a ditch to look underneath the car, it sits nice and low)

It is in excellent original condition with log books and receipts from new.

                                                          E34 owners!

Have any of you had an issue where the front shakes violently when doing a certain speed like 75-80ks? (not a braking issue)

                                                          Well mine dose.

I have a wheel alignment and balance so all good there, was told be mechanic that lower control arm and bushes ate ok.

But told today by one mechanic that radius bushes are the issue but then told by another that their ok enough and shouldn't be the issue.

                                                          Anyone help?

I realise I could be a number of things but trying to pin point to be easy and save money.

                                                          Cheers.

Hello BMW classic car enthusiasts. I should have wrote this straight after the event, but didn't get around to it and since I don't use face-book, I never thought of putting it in under Irene's account. Irene and I attended the McLaren Vale Vintage and Classic Car Show on 17th April and had a great time. I have attached a few pictures of my 2000 C and of a beautiful 2002 which was also there. Irene and I had a great time with excellent food and good entertainment at the different wineries, and over 400 classic cars on display. Unfortunately, my 2000 C and the 2002 were the only 2 BMW's there. I will more than likely go again next year, so if any other members with classic BMWs would like to join me, lets make a day of it next year and get a few more BMWs out for the show.

it could be of interest to one of your members. It is metallic grey and registration number is S627 AHF.

Anyone interested can contact me on 0432 474 226 for further details or to arrange a time for an inspection and a test drive.

Firstly we ventured to Rosey's Cafe where we had a nice brunch which consisted of poached eggs on toast with bacon, beetroot, hash browns, sausages, chorizo and other foods. We all enjoyed it. Half the crew left and the rest of us went to Myponga markets for a look.

We then went for a nice drive back through the windy roads along side of ocean on Main South Rd and stopped at Rick's place. We then parted ways and went on our merry way.

Thanks to all who attended and made this happen.

After 7 years of hassle free ownership, mum has decided to buy a brand new car and her e36 needs a new home!

It's a 1997 bmw e36 318 limited, manual in dark green duco and grey leather. The car has done just over 223k kms and has been taken very good care of. Car had books, and recent service history. Recently spent over $900 in repairs and maintanace. Car is in overall very good condition and the interior is tidy too. It's been owned by my mum since purchase and driven very humbly. Club members may recall her car from years ago when we were quite involved in club activities.

Being the limited model it includes some nice touches such as various trims inside, wood grain, sunroof, and differently geared differential for a better driving experience. It's powered by the m43 motor too. The car has had various upgrades completed including replacement of many bushings and control arms, aftermarket suspension and a up to date stereo system. All electronics work well and the ac blows cold.

We are negotiable on price but at the same time good luck low balling the owner ;). Please inbox me for further details. Asking $3500 Ono.

With all the hard planning to get this event happening it wouldn't have been possible without the sincere backbone of our clubs committee. Our club president Mohum Awadalla was exceptional with continuous updates as to how we will put this wonderful event together to make it successful.

The 100th anniversary was very successful and was spot on with how it was planned. The BMWDCSA put on a great display of M cars as well as some other rare models from different era's. We were joined by Adelaide BMW with them also putting some cars under the marquee.

There were lots of people from all different ages walking through the marquee as it generated a wide spectrum of interest.

The BMWDCSA and Adelaide BMW got the thumbs up from Clipsal organisers to do a parade lap around the track and show off what BMW has produced over the 100 years and that is top class well built cars. The smile on guys faces who went in it were priceless. Good job guys.

We as a club got to experience some rare sights and views of the Clipsal 500 that most people could only dream of.

Thanks to all who were involved in this prestigious event.

19x11 Rear ET20. They will fit e90 and E92 and E93 M3s and possibly other cars but please do your own research about fitment. Wheels are located in Adelaide. Cost me more than my wife thinks I spent new but they're just occupying room in my garage and SWMBO has put her foot down about my hoarding of cars and car paraphenelia! Happy to accept offers around $3.5k! They look amazing on the M3! A little information from the interweb : For sale is a set of holy grail, Work VS-TX. Some will argue that they look like BBS LM-R, but a fact is that Work Wheels actually came up with this design before BBS did. Work Wheels have made 5000 of these in total, and they are now discontinued and pretty rare. Each individual wheel has its own unique serial number engraved to an emblem on the face. There are no other repeated serial numbers in existence.

As many of enthusiasts know that this is possibly the closest celebration for the centenary as it could get. BMW started as Bayerische Motoren Werke as an engine manufacturer in Munich Bavaria 7th March 1916. The club will have a parade lap on Sunday with Adelaide Motors.

I'm sure everyone knows this, but just in case:

                                                                                      Bimmer VS Beemer [Proper Terminology]

Lately, as I've been browsing BMW websites and forums, I've noticed that a lot of BMW fans and enthusiasts use the incorrect slang for BMW's. I mean, A LOT! I'm sure most of you use the correct "slang" but I decided to post this anyway. It's really not a big deal but here's an excerpt from MotorTrend that is spot on:

Definitions: Bimmer - proper accepted slang for BMW cars. Most people don't know this. Beamer/Beemer - proper accepted slang for BMW motorcycles. You will hear this term used incorrectly by many people. Bummer - When you get a speeding ticket. Bitter - Another German car. Very rare; hand built.

So just why is a BMW car called a 'bimmer' not a 'beemer' or 'beamer'?

The answer in part lies in knowing some BMW history and what came first.

All real BMW enthusiasts know that BMW got a big start on two wheels, what many call the real BMWs.

In those days, BMW motorcycles were quite active in racing, and one of their competitors at the track was often the BSA bikes.

Well as things would have it, a track slang developed, and the BMWs were usually referred to as 'beemers' and the BSAs were referred to as 'beesers'.

So, of course for any true enthusiast, there is no way that a BMW car could be called a 'beemer', so they were called 'bimmers'.

Unfortunately, in the US and Canada, and perhaps other countries, there was a time (kind of still is) where for various reasons, a BMW owner was considered an upwardly mobile person, and of course due to the fun in driving their BMWs most all of them had big grins on their faces.

Hence it is little surprise that the non enthusiast types out there incorrectly labeled BMW cars and their owners as 'beamers' or 'beemers'.

                                                                                      %d comments

We left from Munno Para and headed to Lyndoch where a great spot was to get some photos taken. We then went to the Tscharke winery to do some wine tasting and take a few more snap shots.

We then had a nice drive to Angaston where we stopped at the wonderful Brauhouse to congregate and have lunch.

All in all was a nice sunny day and couldn't ask for much more beautiful weather for a nice cruise full of joy and good times.

                                                                                          Thanks all for coming.

Tyres are $700.00 each new for the fronts and $850.00 each new for the rears.

85% tread left so many kms left on them. Rims need some touching up paint wise but no cracks or repairs and run very true.

                                                                                              $1750.00 for the lot. ono

DBA Rotors have less than 200km on them no grooves still totally flat and true. The only reason I am not using them is I went up a couple of notches to AP System.

'Decided to keep my 1990 525i, instead of part with it! It holds too much sentimental value, with many happy memories of our cruising in sublime comfort on long interstate trips. So, it's being driven back to far north Qld in Dec., where, unfortunately, the rego costs are rather steep! A small price to pay for feeling safe on the Bruce Hwy! Well, almost!

My 2001 325i was forced off the road recently by a duel carriage truck, whose driver decided to overtake in torrential rain, while faced with oncoming traffic. The rear carriage missed my car's RH front panel by an inch! That was too close for comfort! In late 2013, I drove all the way down from Mission Beach, via the Bruce Hwy, to Adl. and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I advise fellow drivers to limit travel to a maximum of 5 hours daily, to avoid driving at dusk, when all the wildlife emerge.....and many Wallabies and Kangaroos get killed. Most of all, avoid driving in front of trucks anywhere north of Rockhampton (where the truckies leave their brains behind).

                                                                                                    Happy and safe motoring everyone!

Have you got any goto websites for ordering parts? International or domestic. Only one i've used so far is importec. Worked well for my e36s but now i'm looking for parts for my 528i e28.

I need to do some research but it seems likely that 528e parts won't fit 528i's since although similar in number, run an M20 not an M30.

Adam Beamer Cummings looks like you could be helpful with that nice looking e28 there :)

They are a stiff shock and that's all there is to it. I am not a fan of them at all after having tried them out. Angus hadn't even heard of them, which is unusual. I don't think many people know about these cars as they are getting old now and most mechanics haven't see one come through the doors for a long time. It seems the set up needs to be spot on or face the consequences which I am facing at the moment. There will be no cruise for me on Sunday. I am quite pissed off.

We are going to put my standard springs back in and keep the lowtec shocks to make my ride higher. And he will source the bump stops too. He said The H&R are a racing spring and yeah I will get that bumpy ride on most roads. Taking the car to him on Tuesday. I gave them a fresh lick of paint too.

With some TLC required including having to change the aircon evaporator within the dash, is it worth spending the money when I couldn't get offers of more than $3k when trying to sell it a couple of years ago.

Its a fantastic car to drive but I really hate having to fork out for the premium ULP given the daily freeway drive. I suspect swapping out the V8 for an X5 diesel may be a viable option or am I just being sacrilegious?

Ive got a number of these lovely BMW Driver training Polar fleece jackets. Usually only available if you have been to the BMW Driver training schools. I have sizes Large and Extra Large, saying that they are on the smaller fit of those sizes, more a medium large and a larger large. Stand out from the crowd, have a great excuse next time you get pulled up for tail gating (we all do it!). Price includes postage to you, will do cheaper if you can pick up from Mount Barker SA.

Silly me ordered the system contemplating getting accessories later, now turns out the shipping on the things separately is a killer :/

The car has only done like 14xxx kms... I did have the car idle for quite a bit at before when I was doing programming and flashing on the car for awhile and didn't want the battery to go dead... Is this a huge issue? and Viscosity at 100?

My intention of this test was to find out about the bearing wear but that is ok since engine relatively new.

My friend Paul has his beloved E90 323i for sale.

It has done only 17,700 km in 4 years and is a very rare MANUAL.

Due to 18 months out of action from a shattered broken ankle, he's been unable to drive it - it's virtually a new car.

It seems that he's not getting a lot of interest, but that's probably because most non-enthusiast buyers aren't all that interested in a manual. I figured that true BMW enthusiasts would jump at the chance.

Paul is an extremely decent guy and has already dropped the price a lot, so be reasonable when negotiating with him. I'm 18 years old and was lucky enough to inherit a 1996 316i Compact from my grandfather. I have been driving that car for over a year now and loved it so much that I wanted a newer BMW once I got older and could afford one. But a couple of weeks ago an opportunity came up that I couldn't miss. A friends brother wanted to get rid of his 1990 E30 318iS. I think they're beautiful and I got it for $500 - a steal. Clearcoat is gone so she'll need new paint, but she looks good wet! Mechanically, the vehicle isn't bad. $6300 was put into the engine in 2012. It needs a new steering rack though, as the steering wheel quite literally does nothing for about half a turn each side haha!
