So I am replacing bunch of gaskets and seals Apparently I have an oil coolant... — BMW 135i

So, I am replacing bunch of gaskets and seals. Apparently I have an oil/coolant mixture in the COOLING system. Don't get the wrong idea. There's a difference...(Got that sorted out, but still open for suggestions). So, I wanted to clean all the oil that have spilled and got to the subframe.. removed that.. and now I will be replacing the oil pan gasket, just to make sure it wont leak..(car is @ almost 100k + track days).... my question is, is there a special tool to align the oil pan so it wont leak again. or maybe a bolt pattern for the oil gasket, if no tool is made for this? I accept all help on this. Thanks!

n54 135i 08 Car doesn t like sitting still traffic red lights etc throws... — BMW 135i

n54 135i 08. Car doesn't like sitting still. traffic, red lights etc. throws throttle body intake angle possible overboost, followed by cyl 1, 2, 3 misfires and finally the code for multiple cyl misfires. I just replaced the valve cover gasket, could this be a sign of a leaky valve cover near bank 1? Car will almost always stumble and go into limp mode while trying to put anything more than my big toe on the gas on the highway. Lastly, for now anyways, it's burning oil quickly. Is my valve cover leaking oil on the plugs causing misfires and excessive oil consumption?

          2010 BMW 135i 6mt — BMW 135i

Car is in fantastic shape, you'll be pretty hard pressed to find another like it with this low of miles. I'm the 3rd owner of the car, it's got 52k on the odo, it will go up as it's my daily. It's a 3.0L twin turbo engine (N54) with 6 speed manual transmission. For factory options it's got a crimson red exterior paint, shadowline exterior trim, black interior with grey poplar wood trim accents, heated sport seats (the side bolsters can be made thicker or thinner with the touch of a button), aux and usb inputs to connect your phone for music, bluetooth for hands free calling, and autodimming mirrors (rear and sides) w/compass and garage door opener.

It's currently setup to compete in F Street for autocross. I've only had time to compete in 2 autox events and they were both last Summer. Mods consist of Bilstein shocks, Berk axleback exhaust, Breyton GTS-R wheels, BMS OCC, and Cp-e intakes (will come with stock airbox as well). I'll also throw in the iCarly wi-fi adapter I got so you can code the car for different electronic options. Has black kidney grills (can throw in the stock chrome ones if you want them), LUX led angel eyes and a Cp-e front license plate holder. It also just got brand new index 12 injectors a couple months ago.

It's on winter tires right now and will come with Bridgestone Pole Position S04s for the front. Exterior blemishes consist of a scratch on the trunk lid by the license plate (see photo) and rock chips. I had both bumpers resprayed and the car detailed by a friend last summer so the paint looks great (minus the rock chips). There's no rust on the underside, see underside photo. Interior blemishes consist of some fading on the air vents, it's a common problem; and some small damage to the steering wheel bezel piece, it's pretty minor (see photos).

The car still has extended warranties from BMW, 2 years left on the turbos and 4 years left on the HPFP and 4 years left on the injectors. The only issue that the car has is that there is a crack in the valve cover (it's made of plastic) but I've already bought a replacement and it will be included with the car.

Help OK guys N54 with charge pipe blow off valve front mount intercooler Cobb... — BMW 135i

Help! OK guys. N54 with charge pipe/blow off valve, front mount intercooler,Cobb down pipes, BMintakes. After installing the intercooler I take the car for a test drive. This was my last mod. Car ran great no issues at all. I bring the car back in the garage and I upload my Cobb state 2 tune. ( please don't talk shit about Cobb I've heard it all LOL ).

Anyway, after installing the tune and I take the car out for a test drive as soon as I hit 4000 RPMs the car makes this loud noise sounding like a trumpet.

It only does it when the car is moving. It does not do it when the car is sitting still and I rev the motor...

Definitely a leak somewhere of boost. I checked all the connections on the intercooler and everything looks good. Although I did not want to over tighten the tubing with the clams on the intercooler because I did not want to snap them. They seem tight enough.

Does anyone have any advice? FYI I am throwing no codes but I am losing power when I get high into boost.

Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

                  2012 BMW 135i 6 speed manual — BMW 135i

I have a 2012 BMW 135i 6 speed manual with 84,XXX miles (will go up slightly) for sale. It is the gray exterior with black interior and textured aluminum trim. Truly a beautiful car. I am selling the car because I have decided to keep my AWD 3 series as it suits my needs better and I'm currently in home transition where I am trying to purchase a new home. This is the LCI updated version that came out in 2012 with the new tail lights and headlights.

The car has every package offered by BMW at the time:

                  - M Sport Package

                  - Navigation Package

                  - Cold weather package

                  - Comfort access package

I do have a couple of mods on the car currently which will stay with it:

                  - Cobb High flow cat downpipe

                  http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/exhaust/bmw-n55 -catted-downpipe

This is an incredibly expensive downpipe that allows for high flow to give you the power you want, while also still allowing you to pass emissions.

                  - Cobb upper charge pipe

                  http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/intercooler-pip ing-kits/bmw-n55-charge-pipe

                  - BMS Cowl Filters

                  - BMS Short Shifter

                  - LED Angel Eye Kit

                  http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_LED_angel_eyes.htm l

I would rate the interior 10/10 on this car. It is absolutely perfect and beautiful. As for the exterior I'd go with an 8/10. There are a few blemishes but overall nothing terrible. There are 2 marks on the front bumper and 1 spot on the rear quarter that got hit by a car in the parking lot. Other than that, the car is in great condition.

The water pump was replaced less than 1,000 miles ago and the HPFP recently before that.

The car runs and drives beautifully and has NO warning lights on!

                    BMW 135i N55 Midpipes — BMW 135i

I have some N55 midpipes for sale. Good upgrade for your N54 135i. N55 mids are catless and bolt directly up to the N54 downpipes. Swap them out for a factory finish. Sounded nice on my car with an otherwise completely stock exhaust. Sadly I don't have a sound clip to share. Bought them from a guy who took them off at 20k miles. I only had them on my car for about 5k miles. That being said they're in good shape. Let me know if you have any questions. (Not actual pic of my pipes but that's what they look like)

So I need some help. My steering wheel shakes when I bet up around 50mph and above and I had a shop try balancing my tires and it didn't help. They did say my wheels are slightly bent and that could be causing it. So i run 18x7.5 in front and 18x8.5 in rear is that stock for our vehicles cause i am having a hard time finding wheels that fit since they are different in front and back. Also I have no idea how to find what the offset is for our vehicles I have tried looking it up. I would buy 18x7.5 for front and back but I just bought new tires and am running 255 35 18 in rear and don't think that will fit on 18x7.5. I am really dumb when it comes to wheels so hope they makes some sense I am looking to spend 800 on wheels so just looking for some help on what to do lol

Needing some help here before I torch my car to the ground My car is a 2008... — BMW 135i

Needing some help here before I torch my car to the ground. My car is a 2008 BMW 135i vert and here's the backstory.....

Long story short I had my adaptive headlights fail. BMW told me I needed a ballast and my FRM Module replaced. I bought two new ballast (one for each light) and shipped off my footwell Module to be recoded/repaired.

Gentlemen received my Module, says there isn't anything wrong with it but he'll clear any codes and send it back. During this time, my car sat in the driveway with the battery disconnected, bumper off, etc.

I get the ballast and footwell Module installed yesterday, the left headlight works, the right does not still. But my main concern is now my front windows won't roll down. My drivers side window is stuck about 1/4 inch down, neither are responding to their switches, no noise is coming from the doors. My rear windows work just fine. I checked the fuses and they appeared to be working just fine.

Anybody go through something similar with their windows and how did you fix it? Thanks in advance.

                              Good evening all,

Looking to order new spark plugs as they need changing. What should I run?

Car has stage 1 map, 352bhp with panel filter.

Will be doing decats and cooler around April may time.

I've been told Bosch supers or ngk? Any ideas please. Thanks

Overall great car. Just do not need it anymore. On the 91 Stage 2+ tune it rips. But when I run e60 the clutch does slip due to too much torque. It does have ABS/brake light on the dash due to not replacing the brake pad sensors... adaptive headlight warning light is on due to not longer having them... not tpms sensor so that light is on as well.

Finding it difficult to find decent tyres for my standard 18" rims, I don't want runflats, wanted some Michelin pilot sport SS but can't find them in the right size for the front, if I get Michelin pilot sport 4 for the front they don't do them the correct size for the rear.

Continental tyres that match are an old tyre that was introduced in 2011.

                                  Any ideas ?

Otherwise I though get a set of csl 19" reps and see what tyres i can get for them, am I right in thinking the 19" wheels don't do much for the handling ? And I'm better off with the standard 18" wheels

Hello all I was looking for some insight on an oil consumption problem — BMW 135i

Hello all, I was looking for some insight on an oil consumption problem. I've been going though a quart of oil every 400 miles or so, more when it's below zero out, since then I've also noticed my rear turbo is wet with oil. I checked the coil packs for oil build up due to a leaky vc because it had some grime around it from the past but the leak seems as it it stopped, but they were clean. I have an occ, and it collects oil as well, but my bov also has started spraying a lot more oil out and will leave the bay wet in that area. Does this seem like a vc/vcg issue or a pcv issue/ or both? Front turbo also is a bit wet only on the oil return line. Looks dry above and below both turbos. Already check oil pan, rear main, and ofhg, all clean.

Hey whats up guys! I recently bought my baby girl. She is a beautiful, n54 135i(with the m sport package of course.) This is my first bimmer and I already love it dearly lol. So I installed some leds myself after watching a YouTube video, seeing that it was simple enough, but came across a problem. When I unlock my car the lights all come on including the map lights which I also switched to leds. But when I drive the car, the lights turn on for about 10 seconds then shut off, until I turn my car off and remove the key is when they all light up again. I'm not sure what I did wrong or if I should I take it to a mechanic that knows about electric work...I thought I run it thru here first and see if you guys could help me out. Much appreciated

Bought 135 manual salvaged 135i last year that drove fine, no engine lights until AR downpipe. Ate the fucking serpentine belt 6 months into ownership and has been chilling since the Fall. I'm willing to sell for a few K or just looking for advice. Dealer wanted to rebuild the engine for $12k. Here's a pic back in the summer. Fairly stock but has AR downpipe, M racing steeringwheel, and only 18k miles. Front side driver headlight is stuck facing slightly off kilter and there's some problem with rear suspension but she hauled ass and was good find for what I bought her for. Thanks guys

What is your opinion of the Dinan stage 3 tune?

The cost isn't a big deal since its on sale for under $800. Stage 2 is under $700. When warranty is off I will go MHD. For now being in CA my options are limited. My local dealer is Dinan and does everything from full cars to parts. They will back me on service even at stage 3. Not so with other tunes or a box.

Not worried about how much better another tune is.

Forgive my ignorance but I'm trying to figure out a couple things about my 2012 with the n55. In terms of tuning what would you guys suggest would be the best tune and how much power would I have with intake, downpipe, full exhaust, 7" intercooler, charge pipe etc. Just every bolt on without a turbo upgrade! What kind of PSI can the stock turbo handle and in a general sense how much horsepower will I be at where I would need to upgrade the turbo? I can't seem to find to many forums on the n55 that's why I am asking here. Pic for attention! If you have any other info on it let me know as well! Anything helps!

Guys I have just joined the group and just gotten into 135i's. So I have limited knowledge of what to look for with these cars. I'm still undecided whether to get one stock or modified. I saw one for sale with the following spec and from my limited research it seems like a legit list of goodies that has been installed?

What would you expect this would be pushing out power wise?

How much would all these parts cost and how much would labour cost to get this setup going reliably, excluding price of car itself? My estimate for the parts was approx $15-20k USD excluding labour but I might be wrong.

Doesn't seem to be any upgrade to the brakes or suspension for some reason.

Hi all! I just purchased a 2009 135i (sport package) with 46K miles with an automatic transmission. This car replaced my 91 MR2 Turbo and it's basically just something to drive on occasion and to autocross. I currently have a 2015 Focus ST as my DD.

I'm starting to join some forums and learning about the the car. I'm probably going to be replacing the water pump, thermostat, brakes and rotors. The HPFP was done in 2011.

What are some good websites to buy parts for the car? I googled a few spots but wanted to get some suggestions because it will really help me out.

I've heard a lot of good things about downpipes for our cars and wanted opinions on the good and bad. My only concerns are 1). I do have a warranty on the car for another 30K miles and swapping them in & out for warranty work would be a pain. 2). I live in California and emissions are strict. Let me know all your thoughts. Thanks

Bought my N55 in August. Can't wait for spring/summer to come again (even though I am winter driving it)

Thinking of what needs to be done on it tune up wise. It's a manual transmission and it's only at the 31k mile mark. When do I need to think about transmission oil change? How about coils and plugs ? When I asked bmw for a official maintenance schedule they told me "the car will let you know" which I found a bit laughable

                                                                Thanks in advance guys

No broken tabs or bits, don't leak but appear to have been resealed before. Only thing missing is a set of screws for the lower control module box on one headlight (came to me that way). I have taken 3 screws from one headlight and put them in the other just to have the assemblies all sealed up.Lenses are good but could use a restoration IMHO. Includes AHL modules but I have not tested those.

Got them as spare replacements for my own lights but figured out what was going on with mine. Was going to delete adaptive function all together and upgrade the projector assemblies to have a custom set.
