I have a Peake R5/EMX fault scanner reader and manual.

Available for Mini Coopers (includes S models) built between 2001- 2006.

Displays all engine fault codes; allowing you to do your own engine diagnostic!

Resets the "Service Engine Soon" light.

Resets the Oilservice and Inspection lights, and service mileage.

Very easy to use (compares to checking your oil, it's that easy!)

Includes instruction manual and code chart. It cost me $179. Plus postage from the states.

    http://www.peakeresearch.com/emx.htm

What is the Engine light trying to tell me?Imagine paying a hundred dollars to a repair shop to tighten your radiator cap and reset the Engine light.

2016 Mini Cooper Clubman Pepper White — Australian BMW Mini Owners

        Hi Everyone.

I am upgrading my current Mini for a new JCW Clubman. So I need to sadly say goodbye to my current one. But it will be worth it for the replacement.

Purchased brand new for $48,000 in February 2016 from North Shore Mini Garage. Well looked after apart from a couple of small marks. From lots of driving.

        Current odometer 34,000km

It has free scheduled servicing for 10 years or 200,000km included. Which will save you approximately $5,000-$8,000 over that period.

I have included a picture of the invoice showing the inclusions.

For more information please message me first with questions and contact details.

        Thanks for reading.

Who else out there is experiencing bluetooth and music connectivity issues with their iPhone and Mini?

My BT connection dropouts regularly, the music tracks that appear on the heads up display are jumbled and incorrect.

Have the latest iPhone software and had the car taken to BMW who apparently upgrading my system to latest software but still no luck.

          Tried everything.

          Any ideas?

This fucking car. My R53 S — Australian BMW Mini Owners

This fucking car!! My R53 S.

It's always one step forward, two steps back.

I love it. But I hate it. But I love it. But right now, I hate it!!

I changed the clutch (with a lot of help) over the Xmas break. I fixed my airbag light issue today.

Now I have 3 new problems.

1). Windscreen wipers have stopped working. All fuses look ok, and some mixing and matching of relays didn't change anything. Is there anything common or obvious I should check?

2). Temp gauge going straight to hot, and seems to be a lot of air in the cooling system. Have bled it several times, but still seems to be something wrong. The car was sitting idle for 3 or 4 months prior to changing the clutch. Seized thermostat? Or maybe we put something back wrong when reassembling from the clutch job? Again, anything obvious to chase here?

3). Air con. We were pretty careful with the lines and condenser etc when doing the clutch, but again, maybe we didn't put something back right? The aircon light is just blinking on and off at about 5sec intervals, and only blows hot air. Like my mother in law. And almost as annoying.

I know there's a million factors with each of these problems, but if anyone knows anything obvious or easy to try, I'm all ears.

                  TIA.

While I am on a roll with question time, does anyone know how to remove the rear seats of an r56? I can't even see where to start attacking them from.

On the same topic does anyone know where to buy a rear seat delete 'kit' or come up with a solution for a nice in fill once rear seats have been removed? I've heard pelican parts in the states had/did one but nothing on their site anymore.

No longer need it as have gone a different route with the car.

Note: Has a minor scuff on one of the lobes however has no affect on performance and is purely cosmetic, made great power on my Mini when I ran it.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows if there are any specialised tools needed? As in specific to MINI, like an alignment tool or anything? Also, does anyone know where to get a cheap (or even free) copy of a workshop manual? Digital is fine.

I was wondering if any one has installed a RACECHIP and has had there car serviced by MINI not sure if they can detect the use of one.

i wrote to race chip My Questions are, what kind of extra PK would i be expecting from the ultimate chip. And if the chip can be detected at service time with OBD reader.

I do wonder if even if you take them off come service time that the ecu won't record higher levels of boost etc and if BMW/Mini really want to see if ones been fitted they couldn't find out. Also is the RaceChip engine warranty available in Australia. https://www.racechip.com/chip-tuning/mini.html

Here you can find the suitable RaceChip, including max possible performance gain, for your upcoming Mini JCW:

                                          https://www.racechip.com/shop/mini/mini-f55-56-fro m-2014/john-cooper-works-1998ccm-231hp-170kw-350nm .html

Since RaceChip is installed on the injection system it isn't in any relation to car's ECU. A tuning is only detectable if it has been done on the ECU.

Therefore with removing the RaceChip it doesn't leave any traces of tuning.

So we recommend you to remove the RaceChip before going to service. On this way there isn't any risk of manufacturer's warranty.

We ourselves do also have almost only leasing cars. So it is at least as important for us as well that there are no traces of tuning after having removed the RaceChip.

For some legal reasons we can only offer our engine warranty within certain Eruopean countries.

However safety principle of course remains the same.

Since the RaceChip is an additional control unit it is only able to keep moving in the area of engine's and transmission's serial tolerance.

In case the RaceChip should ever calculate too high values which could cause damage to any part the original ECU would immediately cut the and run back to stock- or into limp mode.

So there isn't any risk for the engine or any other part of the vehicle.

F56 John Cooper Works Exhaust — Australian BMW Mini Owners

                                            Hi,

I have recently put a Milltek sports exhaust on my 2015 F56 JCW and would like to sell my original exhaust.

It had only done 500km before I installed the new exhaust so it's practically brand new. An awesome upgrade from a Cooper or Cooper S F56 model.

It is cut in half for easy transport and has to be welded as shown in the pics.

I am open to offers but would like to get around $800 for it. I am located in north Brisbane.

If anyone is interested let me know.

My own little mini convoy brightens up the street but I'd love to get a proper one organised over the Christmas period. Anyone interested in a run? I'm inner west Sydney so maybe we can either find a meeting place that everyone can make or pick a run that people join at points along the way. The Royal Nasho could be a good option. Basically built for minis!

Hey guys, when I first got the car, my mini has a distinct interior smell which is really nice. After so long the smell is still there. I thought it was a freshener that was sprayed when it's new but it's still there after so long. Do you know if it's some kind of car fragrance that they use? I want to get it for hubby's car.

Hello. I just got the news my car is dying. I am looking at to styles of car . A diesel ute or a BMW mini. Second hand . We have a classic mini clubman that my husband drives.

I would like some suggestions on what sort of model mini I should be looking at. Diesel at the very lest. And something reliable. Thanks.

                                                      A greatful mini fan
