Anyone (Tom, George) know if IIHS has scheduled a test of the i3 for its safety rating? It is eligible for the top US safety score (unlike Tesla) since it does offer forward collision mitigation equipment. Can't wait to see how it does. I am guessing a TS+ rating.

No I don't know. Based on the volume of cars that the US will be getting this year I don't think it would be mandatory for BMW to even have it crash tested here although I assume they will.
I bet they will. There is no other BMW to reference. For example, Chevy can point to the liquid fuel Spark and say "great safety" and then hint the EV is the same. Not so with this new vehicle.
I don't think they officially crash-tested the ActiveE. The Monroney had blanks in that field.
I'm certain you are right. ActiveEs were really BMW 1's or 3s converted. At least the one I drove was.
